INNOCENT BYSTANDER PINOT GRIS 2010 INNOCENT BYSTANDER PINOT GRIS 2010

Innocent Bystander have vowed to "make great wine for drinking and enjoying; not crowing over". This Pinot Gris, from the Yarra Valley in Victoria is made for food. It is a crunchy, crisp, appley and richly textured wine which would work really well with spicy food

ONLY AVAILABLE IN AN UNSLPLIT CASE OF SIX

VINEYARD
Fruit was selected from five different vineyards in the Yarra Valley: Griffiths, Lone Star, Gladysdale, Butchers Block and Applejack.

These vineyards were chosen in particular for their high diurnal temperature range, resulting in wines with high natural acidity and low pH.

Harvest took place in March.

VINIFICATION
Fruit was handpicked and whole bunch pressed.

A variety of yeasts, some indigenous, were used in barrel batches. Barrels and tanks were lees stirred regularly until blending early in June, at which point the wine was cold stabilised.

Maturation took place in a combination of French oak and stainless steel.
