Domaine Durban Muscat Beaumes de Venise 2011 (Half Bottle) Domaine Durban Muscat Beaumes de Venise 2011 (Half Bottle)

Dominating the Rhône Valley from the foothills of the Mont Ventoux, Domaine Durban enjoys stunning views of the area. Muscat de Beaumes de Venise is undoubtedly the best of all the Muscat wines made in Southern France and Durban is considered the best estate. The wines are a pure delight with the distinctive Muscat flavours of flowers, tropical fruit and honey.

The Domaine dominates the vineyard and offers an impressive panorama. Since the Sixties, the Leydier family has nurtured and developed the production of the now internationally-renowned wines.

Domaine de Durban is located on soil composed of a mixture of Trias (40%) and Clay-Limestone (60%), which brings richness and complexity to the wines.

The sloped vineyard benefits from broad exposure to the sun and a micro-climate which helps it to produce an excellent harvest of fine wines every year.

100% Muscat a petit grains

At Domaine de Durban, the grapes are gathered by hand to avoid harming them and sorted in order to eliminate those that are not ripe enough or that have been damaged.

The collected grapes are then separated and macerated - a process in which the grapes are crushed and steeped in juice for several days or even weeks ?

After maceration, the grapes are fermented in temperature-controlled stainless-steel tanks at 15°C, bringing a volume of 7 to 10% neutral alcohol, to limit fermentation to a density of approximately 1050 so that at least 110 grams of sugar remain per litre, leaving the wine slightly sweet

Domaine Durban Muscat Beaumes de Venise 2011 has a deep golden colour and offers flavours of apricot, peach, Seville orange and ripe pear. The finish is richly honeyed and long. . Perfect as an aperitif, a versatile dessert wine or partner to salty blue cheeses.
