CHATEAU L' EGLISE 2011 CHATEAU L' EGLISE 2011

This is a perfectly well made, great value claret. The wine is made from the three classic Bordeaux black grape varieties Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot and just 10% Cabernet Franc. It has aromas of plums and cherries with delicious mulberry and damson fruit flavours. This wine has had some oak ageing too adding a spicy complexity to the smooth and satisfying palate.

VINEYARD
Chateau L'Eglise is a 100% red wine producing chateau owned by the Dieuxyssies family in the Libourne area of Bordeaux. The estate has vines split between Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot.

The vineyard spreads over 29 hectares made of clay-limestone and sandy-silty soil and sub-soil.

The family also have a thriving nursery business providing young vines to growers across Bordeaux and beyond, and presumably ensuring they use only the very best for the production of Chateau l' Eglise

GRAPE VARIETIES
50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot, 10% Cabernet France

VINIFICATION
